There is a reason there is a drinking age, and this unfortunate incident demonstrates why.
Bars receive a license to sell alcohol and as part of their license there are strict laws that they are to abide by. When it’s shown that they half arse enforce these laws then they are indeed part of the problem.
This doesn’t remove the responsibility of anyone to obey our rape laws. The four involve can’t use underage drinking as a defense imho.

You know you can enlist in the military at 18 but you can't legally buy cigarettes or beer until you're 21. Care to explain the reasoning why being able to throw your life into battle for politicians fighting for oil requires less maturity than purchasing beer and cigs?
