IBS is like Fibromyalgia. Just another thing the doctors diagnose you with when they have no clue what is really happening to you. My ex-wife is a nurse and said doctors actually told her that. My daughter was diagnosed with IBS and had issues for 8 years. We finally did the correct tests and found out it was compressed arteries and veins below her diaphragm causing the pains. Hence, NOT IBS. A few surgeries later, and she is like a new person.

What tests did they do to find compressed arteries and veins?

Please don’t trivialize fibromyalgia. My cousin is a brave fibromyalgia warrior and if you saw the daily struggles he goes through just to survive you wouldn’t compare the two diseases. Believe it or not, when my cousin can’t get his fibromyalgia medicine he develops ibs along with flu like symptoms and cold sweats.

Can you expound on the tests?

My wife has IBS and we've eliminated a ton of foods, which has helped, but she still has random flare ups.
