As a practicing Catholic, the Bible tells us that Gilgamesh or Nimrod was an enemy of God. He tried building a tower aka The Tower of Babel, but God destroyed it and scattered the peoples of the world by causing them to speak different languages, so they could not communicate with each other. We know our government does some stupid shite and can’t leave well enough alone, but this if true is about a dumb as we could be. Nimrod was also half angel. He was a son of a watcher, who fell from heaven to sex with the women on earth, a Nephilim. If you know the Bible then you know, God punished the angels and they can never reenter heaven, so they turned to Lucifer as their new king. They are wicked and have demonically possessed people according to priest during exorcisms
12 years of Catholic school checking in. Never heard of any of that.

He basically smashed together obscure parts of the Old Testament and Revelations, added some Milton fan fiction, and then retconned the whole mess.
