Yes it has to do with one person and their decision to bring in Daniels.
Nuss should’ve started this past year and the upcoming year. If he continues to grow as he has showed he would’ve been gone by 2024. Howard would’ve took over as a redshirt sophomore same as Nuss.
Kelly is a damn idiot. His QB situation was good when he arrived and he fricked it all up.
If Howard ends up at Auburn or Florida and looks as good as expected Kelly needs to get the frick out of BR on the next thing smoking.

"Would" "if" ......
We don't know how Walker Howard will develop. We haven't seen enough of him in games this year to know if he's any good or not -- 4 pass attempts from a red shirt doesn't tell you much.
BUT ..... IF he goes elsewhere, starts, and looks good, while Nuss and/or JD flounder here at LSU next year .... that'd be a real bad look for the program.
