Alot of GREAT coaches have never won the state championship. Dale is a Great coach. The true measure is in what his former players are doing now, are they good dads, sucessfull men, etc. I believe for the most part they are, He has done a great job,

I actually played baseball for him, but not football. I had alot of friends that did play for him on the football field though and they all respected him and always talked about how he may not know his baseball, but the man knows his football.

i played both for him and i totally agree with you .. coach does know football and i have always respected him .. he never played organized baseball in his life and as soon as people found that out they basically wrote the guy off as not knowing baseball .. i tend to disagree with that .. he knows baseball .. i just think it's time for a change, that's all ... dale and gerry are good coaches and even better people and both had huge influences on me personally but i just think their time has come, that's all ..

Catholic high did have a solid team this year, but teams around them are getting better. For instance, Denham Springs beat Catholic this year for the first time since the 80s . . . GEAUX JACKETS . . . ALL DAY . . . But Catholic just had a very young team this year, they will be back, no doubt about it.

dru's got denham headed in the right direction .. same with sid at central and scotlandville seems to be coming on too ... i guess catholic's window has just closed for the most part .. it all depends what the powers-that-be want .. to have 9-1 teams that lose in the second round of the playoffs with the occasional semi-final game or someone that could possibly take the same talent to the next level .. hell, taking what you are saying a step further .. CHS might be a 7-3 team next year and be vastly improved .. i just think things have gotten stale over there ..

I like how you call these coaches by their first names like you know them on personal level. Amazing.

have you ever heard anyone refer to coach miles as "les" a time or two before ? why does referring to someone by first name imply that i know them on a personal level ? sounds more like supposition to me ... exactly where is it written around here that you have to refer to them either by full name or last name ..

i'll hang up and listen ..

respect for who ? a high school football coach that is three years younger than me ? what am i supposed to call him ? "coach nettles" ? why ? because he coaches a high school football team and this makes him any more important than "mike" who delivers mail to my office everyday how ?

eta: seriously, i can't wait to hear this .. this stupidity is intriguing ..

Your name must Matt whatever your lastname is. Your show sucks and I can't wait for the day that Condon gets tired of your smartass mouth and whips your arse. I turn the channel at 3 everyday.
