Nobody has the balls in the media to mention how much money they're making playing the game
Would it make you feel better if they made a lot less and the owners kept all the money?
Turn it off if you don't want to hear it. Its the biggest story right now so it will be talked about. There are other options out there to listen to.
As for as what they make, they are paid based on what their agent and the team agree on based on their value to the team.
If they are a player who people all over the country like to watch, that brings in more revenue for the team. The Bengal games for example. Having Joe Burrow increased their viewership into the South. Bengal games are shown in this region a lot more today then they were 4+ years ago.
Do you hate that singers and entertainers make a lot of money just for singing some songs and going around playing those songs in front of a live audience?
I'd rather see a headline about Damar Hamlin than about some Kardashian bullshite. At least Hamlin does some good with his success (through his charities).
I am sick of people bitching about shite they don't have to watch or pay attention to. Its not his fault sports networks decide to talk about him. Im sure his family is tired of having their loved one being talked about by talking heads breaking down all kind of bullshite just to fill up airtime, but that's just what the media does, they milk a story until the next one comes up. But you know what? I haven't heard one word about it today. You know what? I haven't put on anything sports related. They need to stop talking about it so his family can deal with it in private, but evidently if people like you still listen even if it makes you irrationally mad.
Networks don't care why you listen, they just care about putting out content that gets people to turn them on.
