Soccer will never take over as long as the US is a first world country. The only reason soccer is so popular worldwide is because you can be dirt poor and fashion some old rags into a ball and practice soccer, its popularity has nothing to do with how fun it is to watch- which it isn’t.

As long as people can afford baseball mits, football pads, and basketball goals in their driveways, no one is going to waste their time on lame arse boring soccer other than wannabes in big cities who think it makes them look worldly
