Most do, but Saban wouldn’t have won one of his championships had he stuck with Hurts. A HC has got to know when to pull the plug, that being said, I’m not insinuating JD shouldn’t start in the bowl game. Should he play the way he did against Arky, I wouldn’t see any reason not to give Nussmeier a chance.

He also wouldn’t have won the SEC Championship the following year if Hurts didn’t come in and bail Tua out.
