They were cutting this morning in Lafourche. I think the mill in Raceland is still open as of now but I’d say this weekend at the absolute lasted, will be use it or lose it.
I have a cousin that farms in Assumption that said they have so much sugar this year, it’s unbelievable.
Regardless, they will still claim to be broke.

Raceland mill is open until Jan 10, I believe, and they will be done farming that property in a week or so.
I know just about every farmer around my area and they are all going to do well this year. 50-60tons of cane coming off an acre. Usually 30-40 tons is the high side. Weather was so dry that they had to slow their harvest to let the mills keep up.
