You’d be surprised. I’m pretty much the only non-engineer in my family, and they’re all on TD (which is why I try so carefully not to dox myself). Many different engineering disciplines in my family; petroleum, civil, electrical, mechanical, biomechanical, and yes, even aerospace.

They’d probably tell you to research the average starting wage and what percentage of jobs go to H1B’s that drive wages down before you make your decision.
