8 year old son just got this and it is pretty legit, been playing with him.
It’s almost like a RPG/hybrid strategy game.
Highly recommend.

The first one (Mario Rabbids Kingdom Battle) is also very good, and it has a DLC pack that's worth it.

If you would like a less kiddy version of the game, look to purchase XCOM2. The complete version was on sale for $8. Not sure that deal is still ongoing in the e-shop.

it's pretty good, the type of game genre is called: Tactical Role Playing - so TRPG (Xcom, Fire Emblem, Advance Wars, etc. are all a part of this genre of game)
My biggest complaint is on Hard it's still a bit easy, but it's also not made for people like me who play these games on their hardest difficulty all the time.
