We have the most talent returning in the country. Period
Hold on a minute! Starters yes, but overall talent I have to say Bama, Georgia, Ohio State maybe has more, but lets look at our overall starters.
Offense- we have 11
Defense- Smith and Wingo on the DLine, Perkins and Penn at LB, Greg Brooks Jr. at Nickel and Burns at Safety
So, 6 starters on Defense and if you want to be picky Sevyn Banks started already, so 7. And if you want to really be picky Denver Harris and Zy were starters on their previous teams, and if they start or one of them and Sevyn, then we have 8 on defense.
But lets say just 7 starters from LSU's team and 11 on offense, then 18 starters back is very awesome.
Those other teams have stacks of 4-5 star players up and down their rosters. Georgia won the Natty last year and lost what 14 starters? And they look just as good this year with only 7 starters back for 2022.
However, we are building this roster back and things are shaping up much quicker than we all expected, just like winning the SEC West and making the SEC Championship this year.
