Whoever the plumber was when my house was built is a moron.. They set up the hot water pipes to go to the bathrooms direct and the HW pipes that go to the kitchen sink last.. So it takes the tub about 15 seconds to get hot and the kitchen sink about 2 minutes.. What sense is that? I know first world problems... So far no pipe problems in Metairie..

Same.
The bathrooms got hot water quick and the kitchen sink took 2-3 minutes. We got one of those small tank, under the sink water heaters.
Been nice but actually wish I’d have splurged for a tankless water heater for under the kitchen sink - to free up space.
