A&M has plenty of talent on hand. They were one play away from beating Alabama. Have they been under performing, absolutely. But when they come ready to play, they can hang with anyone.

This is the thing that I don't get with fans on here. They will repeatedly tell you not to trust the stats about a player they don't like then start pointing to the record of a team without regard to the talent on that team.
A&M may have had the single most talented roster in college football, just young. And their best QB is the freshman that ended up as the starter due to injury.
They have lost a bunch of talent in the portal and still will have more talent than a lot of their opponents next year.
