Guys are opting out of playoff games already. Expanding the playoffs does absolutely nothing to fix the problem.
All bowl games will/are turning into pre-season games for the following year.

I will respectfully disagree. We had a lot of players (Rashard Lawrence) come back to play an entire season for the chance to play for a National Championship. There may be one or two here and there, but I would propose that many more would value that ring over the chance of injury.
