It's so terrible that it actually gives me hope that once you get a somewhat riveting individual to be HC they'll be able to flip it around pretty quickly.

We've seen that last year's roster was able to win 9 games. Dennis Allen is a historically bad coach and is the reason we aren't leading the division. His coaching frickups in both TB games, Cincy game, and Carolina are why we are 5-9 and not at least 9-5.

While the emotion is a problem, there's something much more important. What's Allen's message there? He's all over the place. We didn't take advantage of opportunities...but we did our job...nothing is easy...we answered the phone.

The message 100% of the time needs to be a reflection of what you need to team to be to accomplish your goals vs. what we saw. Nobody who listened to that speech should have any specific belief that next week can be a win (other than the default confidence). Nobody who listed to that speech has any idea specifically what needs to be done to be where they need to be. Nobody who listed has any idea how this team can be different.

It really sounds like his overarching message is, "Let's keep being us and try to navigate through it to another win."
