I went to the bashes since Dinardo. The bash was my favorite event of the year $15 bucks to get in the early years, beer bars open at 730 am eating Krispy creme donuts and sausage biscuits got a free copy of tigerrag and the purple and gold recruiting newspaper with check list to mark off the recruits we got.

Fun story since I helped plan most of them. I had met with Saban and convinced him to come. As I was leading him in to the Bash he asked how many people are here and how long do you want me to talk. I told him there are about 3,000 people here and you talk as long as you want. He stopped and looked at me in amazement. 3000 people he said? I said yep. He said well let’s give them their money’s worth. And he always did. So did Les. With his bleep Alabama and no chest speeches. The Bash was a great event. Alas, it is gone forever.

I was a kid and went to two of them with my dad and grandfather in Think in 99 and 2000 or around that time in early 2000s. Loved it I was surprised when i got older and had a chance to go to the bayou bash in 2018 or 2019 that it wasn’t a thing anymore. :(
