They are the exact opposite of the Narcs. The New Orleans Divisional Office is big. DEA folks from far as Alabama and Arkansas report up the chain to New Orleans. So you see lots of sharp-dressed analyst types and suits going up to those two floors.
I've seen them all. The Narcs are hilariously conspicuous. They come into this nice arse building dressed like homeless crack heads. And they go straight up to the 19th floor which is nothing but a door, camera, and access control panel when you get off the elevator. Unlike the 18th floor which has nice glass doors with DEA and US Government on them and a friendly receptionist.

It's fun to see if you can spot the DEA employees in the lobby waiting for an elevator. I'm damned near perfect at spotting who's getting off at 18 or 19 now.


csb back in 2018 when I was new around that building, a Young black gal was holding the parking garage elevator for me.

I get in and she goes, "8th floor?"

I said "No. I'm on 3."

She presses 3 and says "Oh okay. You just look like an 8th floor type"

I was shocked and said, "Huh? Who parks on the 8th floor?"

She laughed, "DEA. You look like one of them dudes."
