Good news for the 2nd Amendment in California - CA AG withdraws from defense of SB1327

"Attorneys for both legal actions received word from Newsom’s attorney (that) the Attorney General’s office had advised the governor 'that it did not intend to defend the validity' of the contested section of the law. SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan Gottlieb said this unusual development suggests the state’s position is in trouble."

Judge denies CA AG motion to dismiss as moot (Bloomberg)
Cliffs: CA Legislature passed a bill, signed by Gov Newsome, that would allow he government to collect attorney fees if plaintiffs lost on any merit claim in a 2A case, but that plaintiffs would only be entitled to attorney fees if they won on all merit claims in a 2A case.
Apparently, CA took this action in response to similar action in TX regarding abortion-based cases filed against the government. The CA AG (Bonta) had previously publicly declared the TX law to be unconstitutional.

Only in commiefornia:
1) Decide you don't like a law in another state.
2) Declare that it is unconstitutional and violates whatever belief you have that makes you upset about it.
3) Copy law for something you like and say it's great.

Second Amendment Foundation and Gun Owners of America constantly at the forefront to protect 2A rights. Bravo.

Glad to have these two groups, SAF and GOA, since the NRA is about as dedicated to protecting the 2nd Amendment as Mitch McConnell is to defending conservative beliefs and values.
