You are NOT supposed to hold them or squeeze them during a seizure, if they need to be moved to a safe place so they don’t get hurt sure, but otherwise you need to let them have the seizure not hold or restrict them.
More stimulation is bad for them and will not reduce or stop the seizure.

I agree- supposed to leave them alone and comfort after. If epileptic, which one of my dogs was, I would watch to make sure she wasn't hurt. Sometimes the seizures were violent. She was on phenobarbital her whole life.
My min pin/dachsund mix has them sporadically. Even went so far as to do a brain MRI. Vet occasionally gives him a steroid but basically they happen so sporadically, that he is not on anything.
