I agree, but just making it to the Final Four could've changed them forever. Instead, the UAB football route isn't out of the question.

from memory:
Dayton got to final four with Johnny Flynn in the mid 1960s against Ucla/Wooden/Lew Alcindor/Lucius Allen.
forever? ill tell you this, the fans made the trip to Chicago to play DePaul in the 70s. I had season tickets. Dayton and Cincinnati were the best fans.
