the atmosphere for games in the dome are terrible
It's too big for the crowds that go
Tell that to the kids who get to play on the field they've been watching their idols play on since they were born.
I was about to say the same thing. Those kids don't care about crowd numbers. They earned an opportunity to play in an iconic arena. Walking on the same turf as NFL HoF'ers

Probably the first time being in the Dome for a lot of them.
Exactly. Watching my boy pack his travel bag last night and the whole time talking about getting to be on that field. It's something special.

My old high school geometry teacher played baseball in the minors but WWII cut that short. He mentioned playing in Fenway when he was in high school for a championship. He never mentioned crowds or anything, only how manicured the field was and an honor to play there and this was the 1930s.
As someone who has played competitive sports one way or another, I would expect these kids not caring about the crowd but the fact they get to play where some of the greats did at one time. It's a once in a lifetime thing for a lot of those kids. I'm sure in their mind the stadium is at capacity.
