re: We really came out flat with the playoffs on line. That’s why I’m concerned.

On another thread, a poster made a pretty good analysis of the wear and tear on this team due to a lack of depth. So, while they might have been flat for A and M, they also might have been somewhat worn out.

Would agree but A&M has zero depth also. Should’ve won by 10+

We are ahead of schedule in terms of the rebuild, and we are seeing the lack of good depth affect this team when injuries come up. We did very well to get to a top 5 ranking in the CFP, but we are just not ready yet, but will be in due time. What you have seen this season is a team that plays with a ton of heart despite where the program was a year ago. Better times are just ahead, and while the loss at 5&7 sucks, I would NOT wanna be the Aggies returning to Tiger Stadium next November…….

We’ll see Saturday. If they are indeed worn out, we’re going to get slaughtered.

If that’s the case then it’s going to be a bloodbath next week.

A roster short about 15 scholarship players is a factor late in a season like this. No doubt some of these starters are worn out.
