5 LSU at A&M - duh, LSU needs to win

15 Notre Dame at 6 USC - very good chance ND could pull the upset

Iowa State at 4 TCU - Iowa St is better than their record. It's unlikely, but I would not be surprised by an upset.

3 Michigan at 2 Ohio St - just don't want a close game. would probably be better if Ohio St destroys Michigan.

South Carolina at 8 Clemson - USC could definitely win, but Clemson will not take them lightly after what they did to Tenn

Really as long as Ohio state wins Michigan is done barring USC and TCU losing. Michigan’s OOC schedule was atrocious and they should have to pay for that if they don’t beat Ohio state.

I would say a higher ranked FSU would help LSU.

I get what you are saying, but I feel like the committee and media don't really put much weight into this loss, besides it being a number on the right side.

Everyone knows this was our first game with a new coach, a new quarterback, and a blocked extra point.

Now, if this was still the BCS era, than yea

Because it's all based on human opinion. It's not black and white like in the BCS era.

You can think LSU will be in by winning out, but to say it's a certainty makes you the idiot.

ND could pull the upset
Frankly, it wouldn't be an upset. If the same SC team is called Oregon State, ND is the favorite.

All will be revealed in 24.

may not matter much but NCstate beating UNC hurts Clemson, less of a quality win for Clemson (if they win)

Same rationale would apply to Cal beating UCLA a la USC, I would think.

Absolutely. USCs only win against current ranked team is against UCLA. They have lost 3 of last 5. If they lose again there is a very good chance USC has zero wins against current ranked teams.

Definitely can't hurt LSU if UCLA loses

ETA: USC would be 0-1 against current top 25 ranked opponents. Not a good look.

certainly would help things, but it may not matter.

If we beat UGA even in an overtime thriller where some controversial call gives us the W, we will get in over USC. Unless they change their rational on ranking USC and LSU.

As I said in the other thread, if higher ranked teams win in all games but LSU over UGA, then I would think the final spot would come down to 3 teams. 1 loss UGA, 1 loss USC, or 1 loss Michigan.

it's not a certainty but looking at it rationally we have the best chance to get in if we beat UGA.

Why would the committee rank USC ahead of LSU when they haven't yet, when we will have the more impressive win in the final weekend. UGA compared to Oregon, Utah, or Washington.

More likely it may come down to UGA or USC if we beat UGA.

Seems like a wash to me. We lost to them and beat Florida. But I’d rather FSU because I can’t stand Florida.
