The reason the Tennessee talk mattered is because if it came down to the CFP taking LSU, Georgia, or Tennessee there is a legitimate reason for them to take either. Now it is just down to LSU and Georgia (they won’t take a two loss non division winner in Tennessee) so the winner of the SEC championship is in no matter what any other conference does.
