That's smart as hell.
I did that for my Son(17 now) when he was younger. Saved a lot of money and the same games were available for the older systems.

It didn't become an issue until he was about 15 and trying to play online with friends. His old shite couldn't connect.

That makes sense.

That didn’t really matter until Xbox 360/PS3 came out

My parents would say I could have an SNES and two games or an NES and six games.

They played me like a fiddle
