Another possibily would be if:

LSU wins out.

Bama loses to LSU, then wins out and wins the SECCG over Fla.

Fla. loses to Fla. St. (out of conference game) and loses the SECCG to Bama. Overall record would be 10-3 (plus they would be coming off two straight losses, which makes them less attractive as an at-large)

UGA loses a game down the stretch (possibly to Ga. Tech). Overall record would be 9-3 (tough to get an at-large with only 9 wins)

That means that Alabama would be SEC Champ at 12-1

LSU would be 10-2, and could possibly get an at-large bid. If Bama plays for the NC then Sugar would be looking for an SEC school as an at-large. If Bama does not play for a NC then Rose, Fiesta or Orange could take them as an at-large.

(There will be a test on all this later)

For what its worth I would rather go to Tampa or Orlando and play Ohio St. than go back to the Sugar and possibly play a Utah or Boise St. Now if the Sugar got a matchup against say a Texas or Oklahoma then obviously the Sugar would be more fun.

our best bet for a BCS comes down to us winning out.

Bama loses to us then UF in SECCG

Sugar bowl has never taken a team coming off of a loss. Even though Bama won the west, we would have the same record with the head2head win. Assuming UGA wins out, it would be a pick between us and UGA, whoever has the higher BCS%
