Yeah more just personal preference and how well you know your boat I guess.
I just like the piece of mind bc I know that one trip a starter or some other stupid shite decides to break it would be when I’m 20 miles out and need to get home

With a new 4 stroke, I'd damn sure leave it running. Mine is a 2 stroke and it's damn annoying to be fishing on either side of that thing for a whole day.
