Lake End Park in Morgan city

Going camping there this weekend. Looking to do alittle Bass fishing. Anyone ever fish it? Any tips?

I’d try a black and blue jig with a black trailer fished extremely slow in deep water.

Hit the a&p canal on the southwest section of the lake
ETA: head to the northeast section of lake palourde which goes into grassy lake, you can find some good canals and bayous around there.
As for lake palourde itself, you’d be better off cat fishing or gar fishing at night at the lake end park dock
The lakeside subdivision canal has decent sacalait fishing. I’m not sure if the locks are open right now though
If you need good food spots in town too just let me know

Man, I appreciated all the insight. I heard that lake can get kinda hairy when the wind picks up. Stupid question, I've never been there before, Is this lake pretty wide open? Like and i just tear off through the middle to the other side or are there any I need to be worried about?
