I just started my MBA and I am planning to focus on Accounting, but some of yall got me nervous lol. My degree is in Management but one thing or another led me to teaching math and I've been doing that for 6 years. Teaching is getting worse as yall can imagine so I wanted to go back for my MBA and figured accounting is a good route because I'm good with numbers and I have a background in business. I don't think I'm interested in going the CPA route, just probably try to work for a private company. Am I making a mistake? Should I look at other focuses for my MBA?

Not a CPA here, and no advanced degree. Accounting was a great route for me and I don't even like math. I'm in tax, never had an interest in General Accounting, but the degree has served me well.
