Arkansas has been a trap game for LSU far too many times.

Now, I trust Brian Kelly to keep this team focused much more than Les Miles or Orgeron.

It is a trap game, but Arkansas is beat to hell. Pittman confirmed this week that Jefferson is barely practicing due to lingering injuries and he looks like a shell of himself out there. He’s their offense and if he’s struggling, they aren’t as much of a threat. Their run game isn’t as dynamic if he isn’t at the heart of it.

Also remember that their pass defense is one of the worst in the SEC, next to last with only Vandy behind them. Unlike UT, they don’t have a superior run defense to fall back on, ranking 6th in the SEC just ahead of us. We were able to move the ball on better defenses in the last two games. The key is just taking that same effort and focus on the road.

Arkansas does have the 2nd most sacks in the SEC, but we just played Bama and OM, who are 1st and 3rd, and survived thanks to Daniels’ ability to make plays with his feet.

If we come out with a similar gameplan that we used vs UF and spread them out with short and intermediate passes, the rest will follow. If we continue to take care of the ball and play ok on special teams like the last two games, I think we will be fine.
