I was ok with it once I thought about it a while. The odds of the following choices could be:

run for 1st - 80%
Kick FG - 50% maybe less with the ST fiascos lately
Punt - gets you nothing.

Running for it and getting stuffed was not high risk since the a FG from the 30 would be a 48 yder.

When we finally did kick we had burned a lot more clock and the risk of missing less impactful.
