Flying in next Thursday for the LSU/Ole MIss game and renting a car for the drive up to BTR. Usually rent through National and MSY usually has a decent selection, but this is my first time with Hertz there.
Read some reports in the past, during Covid, that they had an issue keeping cars in stock. I'm Hertz Gold if it matters.

For folks who have rented recently, what is the vehicle selection like and were there cars available when you arrived.
Agree with you on always National, I'm EE there but the price outweighed the benefit this trip.

I use Avis at MSY. Last time, I got an almost brand new Lexus (1,000 miles on it). I am in Avis President's Club, but don't have that much privileges. I skip the counter and my car is waiting in my spot. Rates are reasonable. I do this from MSY to BR almost every home football game and a lot in the Spring for baseball games.
