Spain was very talented for an international team but the gap was still huge. What made it competitive was the rule differences and our players having no chemistry together. We were still exponentially more talented

That’s why the 3 year commitment was so important. I also didn’t know about the USSR cheating to beat Doug Collins’ team in the 72’ games.
