Overall it was a pretty cheesy and basic coming-of-age treasure hunt show, but the way they made an entire modern-day young people drama without the use of smart phones and modern technology really was impressive and well executed. The premise, of course, being that a storm knocked out power and cell service on the entire island.

Is there enough nudity and banging to keep me interested in the whole season?

I didn't think they had cell phones until season 2. I remember thinking that most of the drama/issues that happened in season 1 could've been avoided with cell phones. Either way, I thoroughly enjoyed OB!

It was decent although I feel like the only character I actually liked was JJ the rest were just ok

It’s all filmed in the South Carolina Lowcountry btw. Which looks totally different than the OBX. My wife was watching it and they were talking about taking a ferry to Chapel Hill which is in the middle of the state

To be fair, you could conceivably boat down to Bald Head and around to Wilmington, then up Cape Fear all the way to Lake Jordan which would get you pretty much right up to Chapel Hill.

But yeah they certainly aren’t running daily ferries from Nag’s Head to CH, and it would probably take a couple of days if they did
