Why would a team whose resume is:
-2 losses
-no conference championship
-no division championship
-losses to the 2 best teams (presumably the other loss besides bama would be to a good team) they played
deserve a shot at being national champions?
I despise playoff expansion becuase it simply weakens the field and allows teams a title shot that have clearly done somethign along the way the first 13 weeks to lose that shot.

Only if it was rated the sixth best team after college champions were chosen. It would be unlikely, but say a Cinderella LSU team loses to Fliorids but beats Bama who wins the West with one kiss and bests Ga. in Atlanta. Would we be rated high with just 2 losses ? Yes.
