The Fairmonts are tough to beat
Fairmont Banff Springs is you want a walkable location to downtown Banff. Golf course as well
Fairmont Lake Louise is more secluded and beautiful in its own right

We stayed at Mount Royal in Banff over the summer. Really nice and right in the middle of downtown. They have shuttles and tours that leave from the hotel.
