1) It's a magazine, not a clip.
2) The flag has green and black stripes, a yellow field, and black stars. It is made to create a negative after image of a regular red-white-and-blue flag by staring at it for 20 to 30 seconds. Looking at a clean background and blinking rapidly after staring at this reversed color flag will produce a ghostly negative afterimage that consists of the normal colors. It could be that he is wearing the flag upside down and in a reverse color scheme to make a statement that he prefers the nation follow a path in the complete opposite direction from what we historically have been following.

Anyway, that's my take on it. I could be reading too much into it though.

It's red, black, and green like the Pan Africa Flag.

Pretty good take... could make alot of sense.

I wasn't sure if there was some commonly-referenced explanation. This is good enough for starters... the main point being "complete opposite" - probably the meat of the message.
