My entire point. Sure they may be able to get more. But can they keep it when the next hungry employee comes around. I'm saying that doing the absolute minimum 100% of the time is going to bite you when the labor market rights itself.

Because the market doesn’t support the pay they desire, and instead of developing skills, designations and certifications, pursuing advancement or a better job elsewhere they simply demand more base pay in their current role for the same job.
