4 is bad.
That he quit drinking is good.
Like a smoker with COPD who quits. The damage may be done but it’s always better to stop continued damage.
Anyone with him? He will need supervision.
Supervision in that if ammonia levels creep up. He may get confused. It sneaks up on patients. Kind of like blood sugar. Before they know it they are too confused to know to ask for help.
