Uncle had liver cirrhosis around age 60. Mean drunk bastard.
I was youngish when it happened so I don't have the full details, but if I remember correctly they had to drain his abdomen and some other serious shite. I don't think he was stage 4. He quit drinking completely, lost a ton of weight, and now sits at his house watching television and doing puzzles. He's a perfectly pleasant guy now, too.
Alcohol is poison. Drink if you will, but know what you're doing. Some people just can't moderate.
