Makes me wonder if it was just my little area here so near that coulee. Plus it always seemed we had lots of of king snakes in the area.
I still live pretty near where I grew up, though it is no longer rural in any way. I rarely see snakes now and when I do it is seems it is usually a garter snake or a dekay's
