*Agree but only to a certain extent.
And by "certain extent" you mean 98% disagree.
Thankfully playing Many(many) years ago we didn't have Dad/Coach driven social media rankings letting everyone know who's who, taking all the guesswork out of visually watching players on the field. Oh wait, me thinks they still do that though. Not saying the rankings are by any means meritless, but hanging one’s hat on them solely as a benchmark of superiority is not seeing the bigger picture. How they get, got and/or stayed ranked is a debatable percentage based on the merits of their talent, PR manager and personal relationships with rankings outlets. Every single one of these kids recruited are good enough to wear the purple and gold, which is why they'll get to sign next week. Each one performed under the "Scrutiny" of coaches eyes and came out the other side with the opportunity to play for LSU. Calling out players/rankings as superior/inferior over one another just sounds like the mass of overzealous player parents out there hoping someone will agree, even if only to a certain extent. Ironically, in this case it's a literal "keeping up with the Joneses" episode of self aggrandizement. Time to put the pom poms down and just enjoy everything they’ve worked for and I'd venture to say if you asked them, it's surely not the rankings. Got a sneaky good feeling they're all going to do just fine, ties or no ties.
