You have no clue the effect a strong vs weak DA has on crime. The DA should be feared by the criminals. The DA is on one side and the criminal defense attorney is on the other. Hillar Moore was a criminal defense attorney and NEVER a prosecutor before he was elected. He is weak on crime. Nice guy but weak.

Hillar Moore forgets his job is to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law. The defense attorney has the opposite job. The judge is supposed to just be a ref (unless it’s a judge trial) between them to follow laws/procedures.

Hillar Moore forgets which side he is on.

Hillar Moore, you should fight harder for the victims of crimes and try to punish criminals as hard as you can. By not doing this, criminals have no fear walking into criminal court. The result is higher crime rates and worse crime.

I remember a time not too long ago that the prosecutors in EBR did not play and the defense attorneys had to beg for a deal. Now the defense attorneys laugh at Hillar Moore and his neutered ADAs.
