We literally can’t go anywhere in baton rouge without watching over our backs. We can’t go eat out without our vehicles being broken into, we can’t go shopping without being mugged in the parking lot. We can’t drive on Bluebonnet Blvd in broad daylight without being caught in the crosshairs of gang violence. We can’t send our children to LSU or Southern without them being robbed, shot, or raped ON CAMPUS. We can’t send our kids to LSU or Southern without fearing they’ll be murdered while eating french fries at a train crossing.

At some point, refusing to leave a dangerous area is called recklessness.

Safety is only temporary. I've read often on the OT that Zachary is getting bad, that Gonzales is getting bad. This is a story that repeats as often as a gif. Gentilly was once nice, NO East was a place people aspired to live. Then people ran to Jefferson Parish and later Fat City and now those places are bad - all along I10 as well. Lafayette isn't what it was when I was a kid. Excuse me going political, but we've opened our borders to millions and even imported many thousands from Mogadishu to formerly almost no crime Minnesota. The dems have made clear that they want to change zoning to build multi-family housing in traditionally single family neighborhoods.

So keep running, but the nicer and more developed your new area becomes, the quicker leftists will force change upon it. You may as well pack up and move to New Zealand or Hungary, as this country is swirling the bowl.
