Did he say this?

If so, they MUST have some dirt on him and are blackmailing him. The defense is awful.

You really think he's gonna throw them under the bus in the middle of the season?

What did you want him to say?

"I'm looking for a new DC right now"

Again, I hope this is merely a public facade.

If not, the situation is hopeless.

yea...that 2nd to last or last question...he said the players weren't playing within the scheme. (The scheme fricking BLOWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

i'm an optimist, but I feel like we're in trouble....i feel like Dinardo-Tepper all over again. Les even mentioned he has been with Mallory a really long time.

His loyalty to his assistant will cost him this job.....i can't take anymore of Meeveto.

The fans on Wednesday need to lay the gauntlet on Les about the Co-DC's.

He blamed the defensive problems on the players not playing consistently.

Its really Miles fault for doing this. Hes not a defensive minded coach, so if anything, he should of went out and got the best DC he could get. Now his weakness is pretty apparent and it definitely was a bonehead move.

anytime I hear they are doing the best they can or they are doing a good job it makes me want to puke. I believe that Les is just protecting them in the media for now. end of the year they have to go if not the heat is on all next year.

And who is getting paid to ensure that they are playing consistently? Isn't that what a coach does?

I wouldn't mind seeing them stay as position coaches like they were...

For one it wouldn't hurt our recruiting and two, I think they are pretty decent position coaches. Having to scheme, coach positions, and make plays/adjust them during the game is way over their head obviously. Certainly a lot different than going on the sideline and just coaching a player up, rather than constantly trying to figure out what to do next for a entire defense...

Not to mention the "Co" idea is about as retarded as I can think of. I've never seen this idea work and they always conflict with each other some way or another, no matter how much they get along...

God damn, I don't want to be reactionary, but that really IS reminiscent of Tepper and DiNardo.

Jesus, Les, the scheme is simplistic and transparent. Everyone in the SEC knows how to attack it. Peveto and Mallory seem incapable of consistently making effective adjustments.

Moreover, whose job is it to motivate the players and teach them how to perform consistently? The coordinators'!

He has to know this. This has to be a public facade.

They are doing a fine job. Rotating punters for a 51.5 average on the national stage against UF and UGA is outstanding kicking. Does LSU award scholly's to punters?

this is just crazy. why is our secondary always being burned? who was the secondary coach last year? mallory. what does peveto do well besides sucking?

they shouldn't be back in any form. I just don't see them being ok with being demoted. to much of a risk of them causing problems for the new dc
