re: The decline of religious faith in America and what that means for our future

The immediate impact is certainly troubling for our society and for the salvation of souls.
However, this is far from the first time that secularism (paganism/Gnosticism) has thrived and the church has retreated. The silver lining is that people will no longer be able to take faith matters for granted. Being faithful to God and his commandments and following in the path of Jesus will be a conscious choice.
The Bible certainly doesn’t shy from this topic. You Will Be persecuted for your faith, unto death in some circumstances.
I will walk with Jesus. I will carry my cross. I will humbly try to remain faithful and will ask forgiveness for my failings. EVEN if I am the last Christian on the face of the earth.
I will seek His guidance in how to evangelize to a secular world. I can no longer take for granted the presumed position of a Judeo-Christian world view in those around me.
Jesus asked his disciples, “And will you also abandon me?”
And they replied, “Lord, to whom shall we turn? For you alone have the words of eternal life!”
