The physical mismatch was obvious right away.Southern has many players listed around 170 but they looked lighter than that. Also 5'10" defensive tackles etc. The Southern players seemed frightened and I don't blame them. This game was not fair to those kids and should never be scheduled again.I would hate for my son or grandson to be in a situation like that.Fortunate no serious injuries occurred.

It obviously wasn’t about the football game, it was about the culture. They got paid to come play, all’s well.

I thought Southern played hard and didn’t see them as scared at all. Obviously were mismatched.

We play at least one vastly overmatched team every season. Until that goes away, why not keep it in the BR community?

If a young healthy Mike Tyson challenged you to a fight would you man up? Or would you decline?

To take a quote from Goodfellas, everyone takes a beating sometime. Southern almost put up 90 on a team the previous week. They knew what yesterday was going to be about, they're men and showed up.

If I’m a fighter, then I man up, and fight him. That’s the difference. We see things from a fans and normal persons point of view, but they see it completely different, because they’re football players. They wanted to play that game last night. They didn’t care and weren’t worried about getting hurt.

Is stay4ever a professional boxer?

I don’t think any untrained boxer wants to fight someone from a local gym. Much less a heavyweight champion.

It’s not an accurate comparison.

That's not the appropriate comparison. Tyson faced a lot of professional fighters that had no chance of beating him. Should they not have shown up?

Yet those small guys in their trenches got push on our OL and busted open holes for their RBs as we put in back up players.

Well I think LSU and Kelly did the right thing. Defensive scheme pretty vanilla early on and in 2nd half lots of backups.
