I've been very critical of Payton, but due to the absurd number of injuries and the difficulty of the schedule so far, i don't think it's actually that bad of a record, the only team i think we had no business losing to was the Vikings, but they own the Saints as a franchise, oh well.

we could very easily be 6-2 or 7-1....the only bad game they played was last weekend

It's the same exact record as last year after 8 and we lost the FIRST 4!! Even though 3 of our 4 losses were close, it's sill disappointing.

but our defense in HORRIBLE...I'm not as bothered by the record but by the fact that the defense is no better, if not worse, than last season.

We have some key injuries though....I thought the rookie DB was playing really well right until he got hurt....I am trying to remain positive but I have a feeling we are going to get hosed on this Will Smith/Deuce thing

Agreed. Denver and Washington were lost by missed FG's.

It's like LSU, we have talent, but the scheme sucks.

just remember 4-4 equals 8-8 at years end, not on pace to do squat.

Looking at the remaining schedule, I hope you're wrong...but, it is the Saints we're talking about here

We just need to score 40 points a game, and we will win them all by outscoring the opponents. The defense can go out there and stand around and look lost.
