Keeping the”empire” would’ve imploded the country eventually.. empires don’t work in the modern world

The mere fact that the UK still has influence with its relative size and resources is remarkable.. shedding the outer realm of the empire was necessary

Lady Di was a spoiled brat much like Charles.. she finally began to grow up in her 30s but she had the “it” factor that the public loved… she was likable where Charles wasn’t and isn’t….
